Carol Margaret Wilson

October 9, 1945 - October 25, 2022
Carol Margaret Wilson was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at age 77 with loved ones by her side.
Carol was born on October 9, 1945, in Eston, Saskatchewan, to Hazel and Basil Shaw and lived the early part of her life in that area before marrying her husband Byron in 1964. Together they raised two children in Lloydminster and later settled long term in Sylvan Lake.
Carol was known to be the life of the party. She loved spending quality time with her family and making friends wherever she went. Carol was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around her, she was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in her life.
Carol enjoyed working, music, dancing, cooking, shopping, and travelling throughout her years, Carol enjoyed her many administrative jobs and worked in the medical and banking industry as well as retail later in her years.
Carol will be remembered forever by; her husband Byron Wilson; her daughter Lana McKerchar (Neil); her son Darren Wilson; four grandchildren: Demi Saizew (Kevin), Landon McKerchar, Bailey Wilson, and Tanner Wilson; 2 great grandchildren; her brothers: Delmar Shaw and Gerry Shaw (Faye); her in-laws: Sherry Cox, Trevor Wilson (Pat), Dwaine Wilson (Pam), and Doug Wilson (Doris); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family member and friends.
She will be received by her parents Hazel and Basil Shaw and her mother and father-in-law Victoria and Robert Wilson.
A service and celebration of life is scheduled for 11:00 am on November 25, 2022 at the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home and a Luncheon to follow at the Sylvan Lake Legion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carol's memory may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
