Dale was born on December 5, 1956, in Yorkton, SK. He passed away on May 9, 2022, after a long stay in Red Deer Regional Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Vera Lenzen, step-mother Carrie Lenzen, and his brother-in-law Jack Spence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Irene; his daughter Pamela Lampright (Nathan), sons Andrew and Matthew, grandsons Dakota Trimper and Micheal Lenzen, and granddaughter Wilhelmina Lampright; Sisters Marilyn (Jack) Spence, Donna (aka Vera) Lenzen, and brothers Russel (Joylayne), Mitchell (Syndey), and Ted (Val); his sisters-in-law Anne Riou Tymchuck (Jeff), Margaret Riou Baldwin (Barry); numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. His sister-in-law Marti Hjelmeland (Daryl) also survived Dale, but sadly passed on May 11, 2022.
Dale was a quiet and private person. He received his Journeyman Electrician's Certificate from Saskatchewan Technical Institute in Moose Jaw, SK, in 1978. He and his family lived in Kindersley, SK, where worked in the oilfield until 1988.
After moving to Sylvan Lake, and then Benalto, AB, he earned his Master Electrician's Certificate from Red Deer College in 1994. He worked in the commercial and industrial sectors until he suffered a stroke in December 2012.
Dale loved to read and spend time outside, but he was always happiest when camping and exploring Alberta's parks.
A private Celebration of Dale's Life will be held in Saskatoon, SK, at the end of August.
Donations in Dale's memory may be given to The Canadian Diabetes Association.
