Wilkinson, David Alistair - Sylvan Lake, Alberta

David passed away peacefully in Red Deer General Hospital.
Dave leaves behind Vernie his wife of 59 years; five children Joan Skredon (Sherman), Mary Lynn Armstrong (George), David Wilkinson (Sherry), Marlin Wilkinson, Sandra Ziegler (Tim). He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Dave was the brother of Archibald Ian Wilkinson of Nanaimo B.C. Ruth Ishbell Wilkinson (deceased) formally of Oshawa, ON, and Barbara Joan (Wilkinson) Brydges of Sarnia, ON.
He was born in Windsor and raised at Aberarder the second son of Archibald and Edith (Watson) Wilkinson. Dave was raised on a farm on Aberarder Line. He left Ontario to work the fall Harvest Excursion in Saskatchewan. Later Dave worked in the oil fields for Mobil Oil Company and Mobil Exxon. After retirement Dave took on a job working for the Canadian Government which took him to Pakistan and Libya where he instructed locals on oil drilling techniques.
Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made in David's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
