In Loving Memory ~
David beside his beloved wife, Anna.
With grateful hearts full of treasured memories, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa, David Lloyd Pearson. He went to be with the Lord on his 51st wedding anniversary date, surrounded and supported by his beloved family.
He was a man who faithfully loved God, his children and grandchildren. He was our hero!
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anna; his children: June, (John) Nadine, (Jeroen) and Nathan, (Crystal); his grandchildren: Aiden, Tom, Tyse, Leah, and Hein; his siblings: Pat, Valerie, Bob, Don, Steve, and many extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his Mother Lorene, his father Lloyd, and sister Mildred.
David was born on July 20, 1943 in Woodstock, Ontario. Growing up on the family dairy farm, David had numerous experiences and passions: he loved the land, gardening, God's nature, birds, and wildlife. He enjoyed curling, skiing, music, playing baseball, crib, traveling, ketchup, and studying history.
He was a dedicated member of his local church. Out of his love for God and community, he volunteered his time delivering Meals on Wheels, helping with Samaritan's Purse, and maintaining the gardens at Memorial Presbyterian Church.
David worked primarily in agriculture, and also in oil, and coal related fields for a short time in the Arctic and then Alberta. He gave God's love hands and feet by helping family, friends and neighbours whenever he could.
We are grateful to the Red Deer Nursing Staff: Dr. Daniel, Dr. Hall and team, as well as to the Christian hospital chaplain, Mabel Wu. Shedding a tear, he passed peacefully after her comforting prayers. David has changed addresses, exchanging his earthly home for a heavenly one, and we look forward to seeing him again.
