Denis passed away peacefully at his home in Spruce Grove surrounded by loved ones listening to his favorite music.
Denis was born in Grande Prairie, AB. He met his wife Linda at the Varsity Hall in Sylvan Lake when he was 18. They raised their 3 kids in Red Deer and Sylvan Lake. He worked for Hicke and Trinity Real Estate and ran his own businesses including Mr. Green Landscaping and Central Steam Baths to name a few. He married his second wife Vanessa and he raised his son Rudy in Spruce Grove.
Denis is now reunited with his beloved wife Linda who predeceased him in 1997. Together, they are already enjoying their morning cup of coffee, Driftwood Inn Chinese food feasts, VLT pulling and racetrack betting.
He had a passion for gardening and under his green thumb flowers and plants thrived.
Denis led a very interesting exciting life and always had a story or joke to tell. He always marched to the beat of his own drum.
Denis will be missed and remembered by his four children Loren (Aileen) granddaughters Sachi/Erika, Cindy (Colin) granddaughters Jade/Tia, Connie (Chad) grandkids Sheldon/Gracie/Jennie/Rubie and Rudy (Zoe). His brothers Eugene (Lorrie), John (Elaine) and Ed (Pam) as well as many relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Rudolph/Jennie Croken and his two sisters Therese and "Betty", his wife Linda Hicke and Rudy's mom Vanessa Swann.
As per his wishes, no service will be held.
