It's with heavy hearts today, we announce the passing of Don Alvin Lee, born May 2nd 1940-February 18, 2019.
Don was born in Eatonia, SK to Alvin and Albertine Lee.
Don worked various jobs in SK in his early years and then moved to Drayton Valley, AB in 1969 where he met his wife Verna of 49 years and then moved to Sylvan Lake, AB to make a permanent home and raise their four children in 1978.
Don also had a successful career with Local 488 of Plumbers and Pipefitters out of Edmonton, Ab.
After his retirement Don and Verna enjoyed travelling to many various destinations and enjoyed RV-ing.
Don also loved fishing and enjoying his home by the lake.
Don is survived by his loving wife Verna of Sylvan Lake, AB, daughter Ileen (Brad) of Sylvan Lake, AB; sons Albert of Calgary, AB and Darren of Regina, SK, Shane (Heather) of Coaldale, AB; grandchildren Charis, Alison, Abigail and Jonah; his sister Barb (Ray) of Lloydminister, SK and many nieces and nephews.
Don was predeceased by his parents and sister, Marlene Becker.
A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home, 5019 47a Ave, on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. For those who wish to pay their final respects, there will be a visitation at 11:00 a.m .the same day of the service. Following the service, a time of fellowship and refreshments will be at the Sylvan Lake Legion Branch 212, 4916 50 Ave.
