Donald Christian Sylvester, age 77, passed away suddenly at his home on September 7, 2018.
The youngest child of Chris and Gladys Sylvester, he was born and raised in Beaverlodge, AB, along with his siblings, Ellen, Ruth and Melvin.
Don spent most of his life in the Centreville/Sylvan Lake area where he and his wife, Ingrid, farmed, published numerous magazines including Red Deer Commerce, and raised three children, Scott, Shaune and Brady.
Don and Ingrid welcomed Monica, Stephen, and Catherine into their family and became proud grandparents to Christian, Emily, Jacob, Caroline, Amy and Matthew.
Later in life, Don and Ingrid separated and Don spent the last decade of his life with his partner, Brenda Amundson in Osoyoos, BC.
Family and friends are warmly invited to an informal celebration of Don's life to be held on Saturday, October 6 at 2 PM in the Heartland Room in the Harvest Centre at Westerner Park, Red Deer, AB.
