Edward George Gallagher, age 84, passed- away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on August 6th, 2020. Ed resided in Sylvan Lake, AB. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (Metz) of 61 years. Together their family grew; Brian Gallagher (Kathy Hoven), Debbie (Greg) Anderson, Neil Gallagher, Sharon (Darcy) Mazurkewich, and Donna (Danny) Desrosiers. They have 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger brother, Gary (Sandy) and a brother in law Melvin Metz both of Regina, SK. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, a private service was held at the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Sylvan Lake. For those who wish to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in Ed's name be directed to the Recreation Therapy Program at Bethany Care in Sylvan Lake, 4700 47ave, Sylvan Lake, AB, T4S 2M3 to thank them for all their fun and loving care.
