Edward Pogadl of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Hospital on April 20th, 2012 at the age of 82. Ed was born October 28, 1929 at home on the family homestead in the Lockhart district. Ed attended the Sunset school where he "walked bare foot, uphill both ways". Ed married Glenda Pierson on October 28th, 1961. Ed worked for the Alberta Wheat Pool for 28 years serving in Bentley, Tees, and Sylvan Lake. Ed also farmed while working at the Wheat Pool. The loves of Ed's life were always his wife, his girls, his grandchildren, and his farm. Ed is survived by Glenda his wife of 50 years, daughters Marlis (Brian) Hansen, Marcine (Tom) Woyke, Monica (Scott) Sylvester; nine beautiful grandchildren and one great grandchild. Celebration of Edward's Life was held at the Alliance Community Church, Sylvan Lake, AB on Wednesday, April 25th, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Lunch followed.
