June 25, 1927 - April 2, 2019
Eric passed away peacefully April 2-2019 in Victoria, BC with his partner Marilyn by his side. Eric (born Eryth) came to Canada with his parents at the age of 9 months in 1927 from Kurgany, Poland. He resided in Cando, Sask. on their farm until he was 25 years old; he then purchased a farm just east of Benalto, AB.

In 1955 he married Phyllis Urlacher and together they built up the farm to raise their family, clearing land, building a home, grain farming, raising cattle, pigs and chickens, plus driving a school bus for several years. They enjoyed playing cards, music, travelling, family and family reunions. Eric loved his Ham Radio(VE6-ABE), and enjoyed his self- taught skills which included piano, guitar, organ and all computer gadgets.

Eric and Phyllis purchased a home in Victoria, BC in the 1980's and enjoyed some of the winters square dancing, long walks and travelling the island until the sudden and sad passing of Phyllis in May 1994. Eric retired from farming after Phyllis's passing in 1995 and moved to Victoria full time.

He met his partner Marilyn Stacey in Victoria who together they enjoyed Square Dancing, walking every day and travelling, for 20 years until Eric's passing. Eric loved Victoria and always wanted all his family to move there. He was very determined and lived his life to the fullest, his way, right to his last breathe.
