It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn announces her death on Wednesday, April 25 2012. She is predeceased by her husband Jack in 1985. She is survived by her three children, David (Barb) Leedham, Patti (Doug) Petty, Janice (John) Treleaven, and step-daughter June Crockett. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marcus, Jennie, Heather, Jackie, Kellie and Russell and her great grandchildren Saskya, Freyja, Matteo and Kaiden. She will be loved and missed by all of us. Evelyn also leaves a loving sister Gerry Lee and brother Norman Nelson, and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn grew up in Saskatchewan and spent the first years of her married life in Vancouver. Jack and Evelyn came to Sylvan Lake in the early 1950's. She loved the lake and her many years in the restaurant on the lakefront where she was known as "Mom" by many customers. The family grew strong and many friendships developed over good food and a game of cards. Thank you to all those beautiful friends. We wish to thank Unit 33 and Bethany in Sylvan Lake for their kindness, compassion and care. Thanks also to the Lending Cupboard. A service is to be held at the Sylvan Lake Memorial Presbyterian Church, Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
