Faith Woods-Kent (nee Shields) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Faith was born in Cereal, AB and raised in Oyen, AB. Faith's career was retail - starting at an early age in her dad's butcher shop then to the family owned hardware store for 25+ years. Along with a stint of selling Christmas trees in California, she always knew how to help the customer.
Faith will be lovingly remembered by her two children Richard Woods (Wendy Lawrence) and Anne Woods (Brad Misener); six grandchildren Jordan (Ashley) Woods, Chelsea (Dakota) Ruschkowski, Sarah Code (Benjamin Misener), Matthew Code (Kayley Ruzycki), Justin Code, Mackenzie Code (Jesse Derksen); her brother James Shields, extended family and friends.
Faith's love of her family and all the strays (as she referred them) shone through and there was always room for an extra person at her table.
Her family wishes to thank the first responders along with the doctors, nurses and staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their exemplary care during her final days.
A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the ZION Church - Hwy #582 & 20th Ave, Didsbury, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Faith's memory may be made to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Foundation.
