September 16, 1934 - March 16, 2022
It is with great sorrow that we say farewell to Joyce, beloved wife, cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, dear friend to many. She has gone on to join her eldest son Dale, parents, Leroy and Dorothy Harden, as well as son in law Dan and daughter in law Kim, 4 brothers, Roland, Ron, Don and Raymond, 2 sisters, Dorothy and Eleanor and a host of others.
This matriarch leaves to mourn her loving husband of 69 years, Albert, her children - Donna (Harry): Daleen - Konrad, Aaliyah, Jovan; Amanda (Kordell): Jordyn, Kyler; Kalcy (Jeni-May) - Aidyn, Griffen, Morgan, Kashis; Deb: Shannon (Jason) - Logan, Nathan; Jamie; Darrell: Letitia (Scott) - George, Annika; Sara: Kennedy, Emily, Ryder; Jaleesa (Jay): Gemma, Scarlett; Isabella; Kelly : Desmond (Amy) - Ava, Hailey, Tayiah; Sandi-Rae: Gracie, Mikki; Tyler (Mandy): Piper, Huxley; Nick (Kate); Allen (Marie): Aly (Kelly): Sydney, Jackson, Abby; Brady (Amanda): Wesley, Casey; Bailey (Stanley): Emma, Rylee, Anna; Helene ( Jesse): Adelyn. Joyce is also survived by 2 brothers, Dwayne and Robert and 4 sisters, Marlene, Linda, Marlys and Brenda and numerous nieces and nephews. As well, her love extended to so many that can be considered ''family''.
There were many titles in Joyce's life, devoted mother, truck dispatcher, clerk at the Eckville Co-op and Lounge manager at the Last Hill Golf & Country Club where she trained up many of her grandchildren. Joyce always had time to listen, converse and offer help to her family and many friends. You knew she truly cared. Golfing was as much of a beverage sport as the actual game! She loved her cabin and having all her loved ones gathered around her, ice cold Coronas and red wine! Long walks around Sylvan Lake with Mary Lou and visits to her hairdresser, Mona, were cherished.
Friday nights were considered ''Happy Hour'' for many, many years. There was always someone up for cheers and playing golf card games or just sharing love and laughter. This precious little stick of dynamite always looked great, from stylish clothing to fashionable up-to-date hairstyles.
We are going to miss her dearly but are at peace knowing she is no longer in pain and has joined her loved ones passed. May she rest in eternal peace.
Per Joyce's request, there will be no service. Please choose your personal way to celebrate her memory. Her spirit lives on through all of us, the Hallgren family.
