It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Karen Louise Nielsen on June 6,2019 at the age of 65. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home.
Karen leaves to mourn her loving husband, Gary; daughter, Lori Sloan; her son, Darren; her grandchildren, Taylor and Trenton Sloan, whom she adored with all her heart, sisters Shirley Hough and Marilyn Nielsen; brother Ken Jacobsen; and many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
She will always be lovingly remembered for her kindness, infectious smile, infinite love for her family and her cheeky, amusing one-liners. A beautiful soul who blessed us all.
No funeral will be held but a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. For those who wish to make a memorial donation in Karen's name, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
