Klara Cole

With great sadness we announce the passing of Klara Johanna Luise Cole on Monday, March 14, 2022.
Klara was born April 8, 1935, to parents Adolf and Luise Demelius in Germany. She met William Cole in Hanover, Germany and they were married May 9, 1953.
Over many years with the military, the family was transferred back and forth to locations in Europe and various Canadian provinces ultimately settling in Eckville in 1977.
Klara held a lifelong love of art, and created portraits, sculptures, and fabric arts - sewing, weaving, knitting, embroidery as well as her music on cello, violin, and guitar.
She worked side-by-side with husband Bill supporting his photography business. She enjoyed the beautiful greenery and wildlife roaming her property. She appreciated the wonderful friends and family that surrounded her and looked forward to phone calls with distant family members.
Klara was predeceased by husband William (Bill) Cole, brother Lutz Demelius, and granddaughter Kimberly Cole.
She is survived by daughter Susanne (Petros) Loutas, son Alexander (Norma) Cole, siblings Marlis (Helmut) Sledz, Klaus (Waltraut) Demelius, and Hella Tyler. Also, grandchildren Katarina Kuhn, Andreas Loutas, Kristina Cole as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating the life of Klara Cole will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2 pm at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 5120 - 49th Street, Eckville, AB. Please join with friends and family for a light tea afterwards at the church.
Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
