It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Leon Duguay at the age of 60 years, after a struggle with cancer.
Leon was born in Allerdville, New Brunswick, to Albert and Relice Duguay. After finishing high school, he went on to College to become a Journeyman Auto-body Technician.
He moved to Alberta about 14 years ago and worked in his profession until a change in recent years that took him to Olymel in Red Deer, Alberta.
Leon loved the great outdoors and shared this passion with his daughter Laura-lee and son-in-law, and best friend, Jeff. They spent many hours together hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.
Leon is predeceased by his parents: Albert and Relice Duguay, nephews: Jonathan and Pascal. He is survived by four children: Laura-lee Pitre, Vicki, Samantha and Jeremy Duguay; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his nine siblings: Annabel, Gilles, Marcel, Ginette, Gaston, Albertine, Valier, Valbert and Christiane.
As a result of COVID, there will be no service at this time.
"We will always cherish the memories we shared.
You will always be in our hearts."
Donations may be made in Leon's name to the Red Deer Cancer Centre at 3942-50a Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta. T4N 6R2. Condolences may be sent to: www.sylvanlakefuneralhome.ca
