On Saturday, April 7, 2018, Mr. Lorin Richard West passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Eston, Sk, son of the late Steven and Marguerite West.
Richard devoted his life to teaching, he enjoyed playing and coaching sports and loved the outdoors. Richard loved music and dancing.
He was a family man and is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lavinia, daughter Jennifer (Duane) Leck, son Jonathan (Kathy) West, and daughter Alaynne (Randy) Tweten.
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Mya, Reese, Diezel, Charlie, Janine (Turner), Shanna, Tyson and Stone and by his sisters: Barb, Wendy and brother Bill.
Richard will be deeply missed by many.
His family would like to pass a very special and sincere note of gratitude to all the staff, Doctors and Nurses on the CCU at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton. With an extra special thank you to Dr. Sharman and nurse Sabrina for their support and compassion.
A Celebration of Richard's life was held at the Alliance Community Church, Sylvan Lake, Alberta (4404 47 Ave.) on Friday, April 13, 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations please be made to, The Helping Hand Fund (Dean Turnquist Foundation).
