Paul James McDonagh of Stony Plain, Alberta, passed away on Nov 29th, 2021, at Westview Hospital in Stony Plain Alberta.
Paul was born on Oct 17th, 1942, in Stoke on Trent, England to Patrick (Paul) and Mary Ellen (Connell) McDonagh.
Paul, a widower, married Joyce Walters, in Stoke on Trent, in 1970. In 1976 Paul and Joyce relocated to Canada. They were happily married for 15 years before her passing.
Paul was a taper by trade and transitioned into a residential home builder in the Sylvan Lake and Red Deer area. Moving to the Stony Plain area in 2010, he resided on 3 acres where he loved gardening, landscaping, the wildlife, and peacefulness that the country had to offer. He loved spending time with his grandsons, country drives and old English television.
Paul is survived by his son Paul McDonagh; daughter, Michelle (Scott) Sicard, his two grandsons, Dru and Hudson Sicard. His sister, Catherine (Ron) Haslam, and sister Siobhan (David) Boughey.
Paul is predeceased by his wife Joyce McDonagh, Mother Mary Ellen McDonagh, Father Paul McDonagh, brother Michael McDonagh, brother Dominic McDonagh.
Funeral services will be held at Sylvan Lake Funeral Home Dec 10th at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Sylvan Lake Alberta. If you plan on paying your respects and attending, please let Michelle know at michelle@pointswestmktg.com or 780-996-2443.
