In loving memory ~
Shirley Ann Dixon (Smith) passed away on June 2 at the age of 87. She grew up in Bowden and then entered Nursing Aide training in Calgary. She met and married John Dixon in Calgary, moved back to Bowden, eventually settling the family in Crossfield.
Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Ernie and Nellie, husband John, stepmom Josie, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and a dear friend, Kris Knudsen.
She is survived by her 5 children: Ken (Wendy), Ray (Lyn), and Deb (Terry) of Crossfield, Ron (Pat) of Red Deer, Brenda (Bud) of Sylvan Lake, 1 sister-in-law, Elaine Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Her legacy is her 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a strong and kind woman who gave 100% to family, friends, and strangers in need. Her love and friendship will be long remembered.
