HALL

Steven Burke Hall, 33, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 9, 2012.

Steve was born on March 16, 1978 in Cardston, Alberta and grew up a hard working farm boy. He attended Cardston high school where he is remembered as being one of the five "Cabin Boys". They were given this nick name from the cabin they built in their spare time. He spent much of his youth in knee braces, enduring 10 knee surgeries in all. Steve's determination and will to do anything he put his mind to allowed him to play post-secondary basketball for the Medicine Hat College the year after he graduated, despite never playing high school basketball. He continued to play in a men's basketball league every year and was currently team captain of his team in Red Deer. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Atlanta, Georgia. Steve married his eternal companion, Lara Lynn Hall in the Cardston, Alberta temple on August 25, 2000. Steve completed his accounting diploma at the Lethbridge Community College and then continued on to earn his Bachelor Degree in Finance from the University of Lethbridge. Steve worked as a commercial banker for a few years after graduating but he was a business man and entrepreneur at heart. His dream was to become a homebuilder and in 2006 he quit banking to pursue his dream, owning and operating "'Havan Built Homes". He also owned and operated "Precision Placement Sand and Gravel." He was a loving and devoted father to his four children, Kobee Lynn (7 yrs.), Macee Ann (5 yrs.), Burke Michael (3 yrs.), and Saydee May (13 months). Among his nieces and nephews, he was known as the "Fun Uncle". Children and youth gravitated to Steve as he was a big kid himself and they could always feel of his love for them. He was a faithful and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was known and will forever be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and service. With his wife and four children, Steve is survived by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Hall; sister, Ginger Caldwell (Clint); brother, Jeffrey Hall (Kelli); in-laws Jerry and Dodie Nelson; brothers in-law, Brad Hyggen (Sandy), Blaine Hyggen (Jennifer), Brandon Hyggen (Marilyn), Braylon Hyggen (Lisa), Blake Hyggen(Jennifer), Duane Nelson (Gaylene), Ryan Nelson (Zita); 27 nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m or at the Church on Friday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service. The Funeral Service will held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta Stake Center (East Hill), Cardston on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery. Steve's wife, Lara, wishes to thank those who have granted their services and offered prayers on behalf of her family.

In lieu of flowers, a Trust Fund has been set up for Lara and her children. Any RBC in Canada
