It is with sadness we announce the passing of Sylvia M. Hayhoe on January 16, 2017 at the age of 99 years.

Sylvia is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Bernice Hayhoe; only grandson, Michael Hayhoe; nephew, John (Kathy) Fox of Toronto, ON and by extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Hayhoe; her only son, Richard Hayhoe; parents, Carl and Christina Bergstrom; father and mother-in-law, Frederick and Mary Ann Hayhoe; brother-in-law, Fred Fox his wife Helen Fox and Olive Fox; dear friend, Charlie Olsen.

Sylvia grew up, attended school and resided in Sylvan Lake. When she married her husband, Milton she moved to Red Deer.

Sylvia was a very creative and talented woman who could make almost anything. She loved crafts and could sew, knit, crochet and made beautiful petit point pictures. Sylvia also was an avid photographer who won many awards for her beautiful pictures.

A Memorial Service was held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 4929 54 St, Red Deer AB on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Bernice and Michael would like to thank the staff at Michener Extendicare for the respectful care she received during her stay there.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Foundation, 3942 50A Ave, Red Deer AB T4N 4E7.
