With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Vernie Wilkinson at Bethany Care Home, Sylvan Lake on Monday, February 26, 2018.
Vernie was born to Harry and Rachel Macaulay at Millet, AB.
She spent her early years in the Mulhurst area.
She was predeceased by siblings; Newton, May, Stanley, Mary-Elaine, Jack and Bill.
She was predeceased by her husband David Alistair Wilkinson in 2012.
She is survived by her five children; Joan(Sherman), Skreden, Regina, SK (Bryan, Kari-Lynn), Mary-Lynne(George)Armstrong, Youngstown, AB (Lisa, Jason), David(Sherry)Wilkinson, Stony Plain, AB (Travis, Brad, Shannon), Marlin Wilkinson, Eckville, AB, Sandra(Tim)Zeigler, Buck Creek, AB (Christopher, Paige) and 17 Great-Grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Alvin(Bobbie)Meckley of St. Albert, AB. Sisters-in-law; Lillian Macaulay of St. Albert and Lorraine Macaulay of Kamloops, BC, as well as many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
The family would like to thank the Doctors of the Sylvan Lake Medical Clinic and the nurses and staff of Bethany Care Home-2nd floor for the excellent care of our mother.

A memorial will be held in the spring (date to be determined).
