December 23, 1948 - November 6, 2023

In loving memory ~

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wesley Glenn Ford at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas on November 6th, 2023 with family by his side. He was 74 years old.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two brothers Mike (Shirley) and Jim Ford along with their extended families. He will be greatly missed by his aunt Pat (Barrie) Hill, numerous cousins and many lifelong and treasured friends. Wes is predeceased by his parents George and Margaret Ford.

Wes was born December 23rd, 1948 as the youngest of three boys and grew up on the family farm just outside of Neilburg, SK. In his early working years life was spent in either Edmonton or Vancouver areas as he built his career in the business world. An investment opportunity took him to Sylvan Lake, AB where he quickly embraced the community and found his forever home.

Wes found ways to enjoy life each and every day. Although he travelled extensively in his younger years, growing health concerns in recent years have kept him closer to home. He still looked forward to

his annual trip to the Sema trade show in Vegas and continued to be involved in business interests, and other projects. Most importantly he appreciated the time spent with his friends doing the things they enjoyed together.

He will be remembered by all for his warm generous heart, his humour, his adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit, and his loyal friendships. A life well lived, now at rest and he will surely be missed.

From the family, our most sincere thanks and appreciation to Wes's dear friends in both Vegas and Sylvan Lake for their caring and support through this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If wished, a donation in his memory can be made to the University Hospital Foundation Cardiac Fund or any charity of your choice.
