Appreciates old pictures in paper

I am enjoying the old pictures that you are putting in the paper

Dear Editor:

I am enjoying the old pictures that you are putting in the paper, especially the last one (Apr. 4) as I am that cute little girl sitting right in the centre front row. I believe I was about 4 or 5 years old at the time.

My mother, Mrs. Flick, and my two sisters are in the picture.  There are other relatives of mine in the picture as well ... the Kanten and Quam families. I actually gave that picture to the archives and provided the names but I didn’t name all the kids. I couldn’t remember some of the adults. I am probably the only one in that picture still living who has lived in Sylvan all their life. All of the adults are dead now and many of the children are as well. Some who are living are into their 80s with only a few in their 70s. I hope you get some response from others as to who the other people are.

I just want to make a comment about the last picture with the Petterson’s cow in the parade. The couple in the wagon is Don and Jean May with their son Dan. Matt Tooders bought Don May’s paint business.
