Dear Editor,

It took a long time, it cost a lot of money, it was tough for downtown businesses during construction, but now that it is nearly completed we have a wonderfully attractive green space and, hopefully, a well used Lakeshore boardwalk.

We must be the envy of many other towns across Canada. Kudos to the mayor, council, consultants and contractors who made it happen.

With its extension to Marina Bay next year, the replacement of the lighthouse (I couldn’t find it in the town long range plan?) and the return of some warm weather and some beach we should become a resort destination for all Albertans.
