Custom built mailbox stolen from rural roadside

Hello, I have a story to tell of how stupid some people really are.

Dear Editor,

Hello, I have a story to tell of how stupid some people really are.

I moved to this area in 1989 to an acreage west of town, therefore my mail is delivered to a rural mail box.

In 1991 my mailbox was pounded out of shape by idiots and had to be replaced. In 1994 both mine and my neighbour’s boxes were mangled again, both beyond any further use. So we built our own out of material not so easy to beat on and smash.

Everything has been good for years.

Then on Sunday night or Monday morning (Feb. 25) my mailbox was broken off its post and has vanished.

Now, I don’t know and I don’t care who the brain dead S.O.B. is who swiped it, but I hope they put it to good use.

It’s made of quarter inch thick well pipe, 16 inches long, eight inches in diameter, painted safety blue with A. L. Martin welded on the sides and 1024A welded on the lid.

What the hell is this world coming to? Have these idiots nothing better to do? Grow a brain!

Remember the old adage: What goes around, comes around.

Tony Martin,
