Last week I went on a week-long trip to Ontario.
It was an exciting time with my best friend and me going to places including, the Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge, Niagara Falls, Stratford, Ripley's Aquarium, CN Tower, the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, the St. Lawrence Market and Casa Loma.
Upon returning to Sylvan Lake from vacation, I looked through the photos I took to see which ones I wanted to keep and which I wanted to discard.
However, when I looked at one of my Casa Loma pictures I was shocked to see what I found in it.
In a room, in the stables where they keep some classic cars, two faces could be seen in the window of the red car in the room.
At the time I took the photo, my best friend and I were both there taking pictures and were the only ones there.
So, at first, when I saw the photo, I shrugged and thought well I guess it caught a reflection of us but then when I zoomed in, to my horror I knew 100 per cent that the photo was definitely not of either of us.
When I zoomed in I saw the distinct image of a woman, wearing a dress with a high frilled collar, puffed sleeve shoulders, and a hand very elegantly placed on the steering wheel.
Behind her was another figure that was standing straight.
Both were looking at the camera.
More shocking yet, when my best friend looked at her photo of the same exact car that she took at the same exact time that I did the figures could not be seen in her picture at all.
Later I showed the picture to my parents and they were also surprised at my discovery.
However, my Mom had heard other stories about the building being haunted before I visited it, so she wasn't as shocked as my Dad.
My parents, hearing the full story of my experience at Casa Loma, though thought that maybe it shouldn't have been a shock that I would have captured the image that I did.
When I was in Casa Loma touring the first floor I instantly had the sensation that while I was with my friend on this tour it wasn't just us there.
In my mind going through the rooms I saw images of tea parties, dancing, and being welcomed and greeted at someone's home.
This presence I felt with me called the place their home.
At the time I went to the stables, which you had to go through the basement tunnels to get to, the presence was still there so I told it that if it would like to be in, or show up in any of my pictures to be my guest.
My parents just laughed and said obviously they took you up on your offer.
Casa Loma located in Toronto is a premier historical attraction offering visitors such as myself the opportunity to see the perspective of life in the early 20th Century.
The castle was originally built in 1914 by financier, industrialist, and military officer, Sir Henry Pellatt where he lived with his wife Mary Pellatt.
