Sidewalks that randomly end perplex new resident

My girlfriend and I moved to Sylvan Lake a couple weeks ago and think it was a wonderful choice to start a new life.

Dear Editor,

My girlfriend and I moved to Sylvan Lake a couple weeks ago and think it was a wonderful choice to start a new life. Although, walking and biking around town, we noticed something we found quite strange; the lack of sidewalks.

Walking down a main street (going past the fire hall and down by Rexall), the sidewalks just randomly seem to come to an end. We thought, since this is a very popular place in the summer months, there would be more convenient sidewalks.

I am just simply putting this out there as a new member to the community.

Being a couple that does not drive and nearly getting hit at a crosswalk one evening, it would be a great adjustment to add a few more sidewalks for people like us.
