Why not be supportive of an Oilers/Flames game for charity in Red Deer during the off season?
If not, then have Commissioner Bettman of the NHL make it the 2015 NHL Winter Classic.
Think of the thousands in extra revenue for Sylvan Lake hotels and businesses when people down for game weekend find out that all the Red Deer hotels are full? Plus, think of the extra tax revenue that would be provided for services.
Plus Alberta’s amateur Sports Hall of Fame in Red Deer gets a promo from the game, which can be only positive for Sylvan Lake amateur sports.
Write to Oilers and Flames owners/execs and whomever you think, as citizens, can help.
