Dear Editor,
Every day I ride my bike around town to see if there is anyone outside who would like to hang out with me. I look near playgrounds in the afternoon — nobody is ever out there.
I always go to my friends’ houses but they are never outside. I always knock on their doors but they are too busy playing video games. And I’m sure that I’m not the only kid in Sylvan with the same problem.
During the school year, me and all my friends used to ride our bikes up and down the road. But ever since summer holidays have started, I can never find them.
Whenever I go out, there are no children in their yards. Just recently I knocked on my friend’s door. He and his brother were playing video games.
I was always told that when good weather comes along, take advantage of it. But whenever I do, nobody is outside.
