Dear Editor,
Read your editorial with great interest. I do not know how you are able to come to the conclusion, because of low voter turnout, that two thirds of the community is happy with the way things have gone over the last three years. The last two municipal elections had almost exactly the same turnouts.
If anyone cares to speak to the ordinary person on the street, they will find the exact opposite. The continual yearly increase in taxes, our mounting deficit and unless you are a tourist you’re at the bottom of the list.
However I do concur with your conclusion that the people who voted want a serious change in direction.
