The game started to get going at the 14:41 mark of the first period when Laker Owen Green notched a power play goal to put the home team up 1-0.

Rocky would quickly answer back with two unanswered goals from Sazon Gopher and Caleb Christianson, however the Lakers would remain resilient as Ethan Gress would find the twine for the Lakers second power play goal of the game, ending the first period at a score of 2-2.

The second period would be a bruising affair with neither team finding a way onto the score sheet. The teams did however pick up 36 minutes of penalty minutes, with both teams picking up one game misconduct a piece.

The third period would start with a goal at 15:38 from Laker Hunter Neal, however Rocky would quickly answer with a goal from Justice Christensen at 9:02 tying the game at 3-3.

It would be another long seven minutes before Neil found the back of the net for the Lakers game winning goal and a final score of 4-3.

Lakers goalie Jayce Soley would stop 32 shots in the win.
