Sylvan Lake Nauticals Swim Club sent five qualified swimmers to Team Aquatic Supplies Age Group Trials North, at Millennium Place Pool, Sherwood Park, from Feb 21-23.

In the 10 & under age group, Eden Price (10) swam best times in her 50 back, 50 fly, and 50 breast, where she made the final and placed seventh. Eden continues to show great stroke technique in all of her swims.

Zoe DeJonge (10) had several more great swims, with best times in her 50, 100 back 50, 100, 400 free, (placing first in each), 50 fly (placing first), and 100 IM (placing third). Zoe also achieved six new provincial A times. Wow! Super Job Zoe!

In the 11-12 age group, Justice Fancie (11) swam best times in her 50, 100 back, 50, 100, and 200 free, highlighted by a 16 second drop in her 200 IM (with another 11 year MQT).

Emily Girard (11) has been working hard to get back in the swing of things, as she has been battling illness the last couple of weeks. Her swims were highlighted by a best time in 50 back.

Also worth noting was that the four girls swam very well in a 4x50 free and 4x50 medley relay.

Michael Carson (12) swam in the boys 12-13 age group. Michael swam best times in his 100, 200, 400 free (dropping 24 seconds), 50 breast, and 100 fly (finishing eighth in the final).

Congratulations to all of the swimmers on what they have been able to achieve so far! The club is looking forward to having even more qualifiers for Long Course Age Group Trials in June. Go Nauticals!
