No Admirals team

A lack of committed and quality players has forced Sylvan Lake Admirals Senior Men’s AAA hockey team to cease operations

A lack of committed and quality players has forced Sylvan Lake Admirals Senior Men’s AAA hockey team to cease operations for the 2013-14 Chinook Hockey League season.

Ted Stephens, president of the club, said in a notice last Thursday, “many things are involved but a lack of committed, quality players who would be there for the season was one of the main reasons”.

“We thank players, sponsors, fans and the media for their support over the years,” he said.

Stephens added they’re taking a year off and will be assessing the situation for next season.

The Admirals have been playing in Sylvan Lake since the 2010-11 season.
