Zone playoffs have been completed and a number of Sylvan Lake and area residents have qualified for provincial competition.
They’ll be attending the Alberta 55 plus Winter Games in Calgary Feb. 13-16, according to Rosella Snopek, Zone 4 activity director.
Morley Dell will be competing in snooker.
Annabelle Wiseman of Jarvis Bay and Betty McLaughlin of Birchcliff will be playing duplicate bridge.
The zone’s hockey team includes Jack Macauley, Ken White and Alexander Jurak of Sylvan Lake, Keith Lamb of Half Moon Bay and Harvey Linnell of Red Deer County.
Zone 4 has 145 competitors attending in 14 different activities, said Snopek.
“We expect over 1,100 competitors from across Alberta to attend.”
